EP 109 YOGA STUDIO / WINTER FIREWORKS FESTIVAL 10/14

Hello and welcome.  We're glad you'll be joining us.  In the following post you will find descriptions  to help you with your choices of what to bring on TUESDAY, 10/14

The first main note is about the WINTER FIREWORKS FESTIVAL as everyone will be working there.  There is a section after that about the YOGA STUDIO and then a section for the FESTIVAL.

Just a couple of housekeeping items to begin with......

-Please, be on time.  You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you.

-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character.   After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in.  However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring options with you so that we can make the final choices.

-Do not leave your clothing options in your car.  Bring your clothing with you when you come to check in.

For the Winter Fireworks Festival....

As the name of the festival indicates, we are playing Winter.  It is a warm Winter, more like Fall.

Everyone must bring layers of sweaters, light weight jackets, vests, etc.

We have to play this as if there is cool weather for the sake of the story.

Make sure to include layers in your options.

When you arrive you will be instructed where to put your clothing options when you check in.  You will be grouped according to the first letter of your last name, with seating assigned accordingly, and we will check people out in these same groups.

Please help us by following all instructions, sitting where you should and staying there until otherwise instructed, and paying attention so that we can get everyone dressed as quickly as possible.

Below you will find the color palette for the show as well as other colors that we consider "holiday season" colors.  Please look at these colors to help with your clothing selections.  You will see a chart of "Whites."  These indicate what to bring instead of bright white.

YOGITES  should bring options of the following:
yoga clothing for Women to include:
tanks and tees,
yoga pants, tights, sweatpants, capri sweats
zip front yoga jackets and hoodies
sneakers, slides and flip flops

yoga clothing for men to include:
tanks and tees, muscle shirts
athletic shorts and pants
zip front or pull over yoga jackets and hoodies

EXTERIOR YOGA PEOPLE should bring and wear options of the following:
long sleeve pullover sweaters and cardigans
long sleeve button front shirts and blouses
long and short sleeve tees and tanks for layering
light weight jackets and hoodies, vests and sweater coats
khaki and cargo style pants, cords
med to dark, basic non-ripped jeans
casual and athletic shoes to work with your choices, no open toed shoes or sandals
any interesting caps without logos, scarves and other accessories
any jewelry should be simple and work with your casual choices

WINTER FIREWORKS FESTIVAL
We WILL shoot rain or shine....so everyone should bring a solid, dark colored umbrella, if you have it. Black, navy, grey, dark green, burgundy, etc.  A two-toned golf umbrella would probably also be ok, too.  Also, make sure that one of your light weight jackets is a rain slicker/jacket of some kind, in the color palette.

FESTIVAL GOERS should wear and bring options of the following:

long and short sleeve tees for layering
light weight jackets and hoodies, vests and sweater coats
khaki and cargo style pants, cords

Pattern and texture are great!  Plaids and stripes, cable knit sweaters.  All these things add depth to our picture that solid colors do not have.  Please include both texture and pattern as well as solid colors in your choices.  Check out the photos below for inspiration.


Because this is Network Television we cannot put anything on camera that has a large or noticeable logo or brand name.  This includes most graphic tees.

For the kids, there should be no Disney, Transformers, Dora or any other known brand of clothing.

EP 109 WEBISODE 3 / THE DINER 10/10

Hello and welcome.  We're glad you'll be joining us.  In the following post you will find descriptions  to help you with your choices of what to bring tomorrow, FRIDAY, 10/10

Just a couple of housekeeping items to begin with......

-Please, be on time.  You will be checked in by the AD Department and fill out paperwork before we can look at you.

-Always come dressed in your first, best choice of the descriptions for your character.   After reading the character descriptions that you will find here, make your best pick and wear it in.  However, you will ALWAYS be expected to bring options with you so that we can make the final choices.

-Do not leave your clothing options in your car.  Bring your clothing with you when you come to check in.

The scene that we are shooting tomorrow takes place in a diner.  The interior of the diner is mostly brown with wooden paneled walls and booths.  So please bring more color options than just brown or tan.  The place is casual so we do not need overly dressy clothing.  Pattern and texture are great, just nothing too bold or overwhelming.

THIS LOCATION LENDS ITSELF MORE TO COLOR THAN TO BLACK CLOTHING.  BLACK WILL LOOK TO DRESSY IN THIS SETTING.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING ALL BLACK AND GREY.

There are color palette charts to help you make choices that work within the look of the show, and a chart with the kind of "white" that you should have.

The red in the color chart below is really more of a brick red or a brown red.  DO NOT BRING BRIGHT RED.

If an item is white but has a small pinstripe or check in it, like a dress shirt or blouse for example, the white will be brought down. Those kinds of things would be acceptable.

On FRIDAY, 10/10, the Background will be in 1SCREEN DAY for WEBISODE 3. However, please bring options so that we have choices.  


THE DINER

WAITRESSES    will be given a shirt by the Costume Dept.  Please bring with you a pair of medium to dark basic jeans that are non-ripped and nice.  Also please bring a pair of med to dark plain sneakers.
**Please wear a natural colored bra.  The shirts that we will be giving you are a little light in color and we don't want dark underthings to be showing thru.**

DINERS WITH CARS  should wear and bring the following:
long sleeve button front  and pullover shirts and blouses
long sleeve pullover sweaters and cardigans
light weight jackets, sweaters & hoodies and jackets
long and short sleeve colored tees  NO LOGOS
long khaki and cargo style pants, cords and basic jeans
casual and athletic shoes to work with your choices.  No open toed shoes or sandals, please.

The scenes that we shoot tomorrow take place on our Police Dept set.  Please see the following descriptions about the specific characters.  There is also a color palette chart to help you make choices that work within the look of the show.

DETECTIVES    You should wear and bring choices of the following:

med to dark 2 pc suits
sport coats/blazers and slacks and skirts
long sleeve, button front shirts and blouses
ties, for the men, in the color palette that are not too bold or busy
accessory scarves, for the women, in the color palette that are not too bold or busy
jewelry, watches and other accessories should be simple and conservative


UNIFORMED POLICE  will be given a uniform by the Costume Dept.  Please bring with you a plain, black tee shirt and black socks.
